Tynetta M. Alston has been the Executive Director/owner of SarahCare of the Lehigh Valley (SCLV) since 2012 where she has worked with her team to establish SCLV as a leader in customer satisfaction and care. Prior to her work in adult day services, Tynetta has acquired over 30 years of health care and consumer and industrial products experience. Her background has been primarily in the area of sales and marketing, with extensive experience with managed care customers in the pharmaceutical industry through her work as a National Account Executive for Merck’s US Human Health Managed Care. Through her work with companies, Tynetta has had experience as a product manager, business development manager, customer and economic market research analyst, and a production manager. Tynetta earned her MBA in Marketing and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and her BS in Chemical Engineering at Wayne State University. She has won numerous awards throughout her career including 15 Awards for Excellence and a Customer Marketing Award. She is committed to community service and has helped to raise SCLV’s involvement with local organizations and she has organized Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service activities for over 15 years within her community.

Pam Barton is the Executive Director of the Main Line Adult Day Center in Bryn Mawr. Pam is responsible for the daily operations, fundraising, marketing/pr, human resources and special events. In 2008, she completed her certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from the Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Work’s NELI program.

Having worked in the field of aging since 1988, Pam’s primary area of expertise is Alzheimer’s disease/dementia management and family support and education. Pam has served on the PADSA Board of Directors as the southeast regional representative for two years. She holds a BS in Gerontology from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Pam lives in Drexel Hill with her husband and three sons.

Hiren Patel, Treasurer

Hiren Patel owns and oversees the operation of Shanti Gardens Adult Day Care. Shanti Gardens ADC has provided adult day services to the aging population in lower Bucks County for over 5 years. Hiren has been involved in the adult day services industry since 2009 and continues to stay active in the industry.

Hiren is committed to helping Seniors age with dignity. In addition to handling all of technology and financial management at Shanti Gardens ADC, Hiren assists the Program Director with Quality Assurance, internal audits, and with writing policies and procedures. He actively works with his Activities coordinators to plan meaningful activities that will benefit participants.

Hiren has a Bachelors Degree in Finance from Baruch College in New York and has worked in Information Technology sector for over 18 years, designing and managing enterprise class systems for financial and technology companies.

Hiren is married and has three children. When not working, Hiren enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with his eight-­‐year old son and five year old twin daughters.

Tracie has worked the field for 23 years, starting as an activity assistant in a long-term care facility and the past 14 years in Adult Day Services. Her ADS experience includes working as an activity coordinator/caregiver support group coordinator for Council Care, site supervisor for Easter Seals and she is currently the program manager for Washington County Adult Day Center. She has a BS in Therapeutic Recreation from Slippery Rock University.

 Pat Long -Board Delegate

Pat Long is the founder of BEELONG Adult Day Services. She served as the Executive Director of that organization for 26 years. BEELONG Adult Day Services operated four community-based adult day programs in Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

She has presented locally on aging services for the Chamber of Commerce, Children of Aging Parents (CAPS), Contact, The Pennsylvania Adult Day Services Association (PADSA), The National Adult Day Services Association, (NADSA) and PANPHA (Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Senior Services).

Pat serves as a member of the PADSA Board and has served as Chair of the Board of Trustees of BHP Services of Philadelphia. She is a Certified Medication Administration Trainer through the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare. Currently, Pat serves as a member of the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging Advisory Committee.

Pat is also a CARF-CCAC surveyor in the area of aging services. In that capacity, she has surveyed community-based and long-term care organizations throughout the United States and Canada.

Pat is a registered nurse. She received her BS in Health Administration from Eastern College and her Gerontological Nurse Certification from the American Nurse Credentialing Center.

Faith Hoover is the Director of Adult Day Services at Landis Homes in Lititz, Pennsylvania. She also developed a home care agency and a continuum of services for people with Alzheimer’s disease at Landis Homes. She is a registered nurse with a BS in Management and Organizational Development from Eastern Mennonite University.

Prior to working at Landis Homes, she was the manager of an adult inpatient psychiatric unit at Philhaven Behavioral Health in Mt. Gretna, Pennsylvania. She assisted in developing psychiatric home care with Philhaven and the Lebanon VNA. Before moving to Lancaster County, she was the Director of Nursing at Souderton Mennonite Homes in Souderton, Pennsylvania.

Leslie has started up and managed multiple adult day programs in the SE and NE Pennsylvania areas as well as in DE and MD. She has over 30 years of health care management experience including hospital, long term care, consulting, and for the past 20 years, exclusively adult day. She has served as a PADSA Board member in the past as well as on various civic and community association boards and currently serves on the Long Term Care Advisory Committee of the Philadelphia Corporation for Aging.  Leslie earned both her BS in Psychology and her MBA in Health Administration from Temple University and she also holds a PA Nursing Home Administrator license. Leslie currently resides with her family in Montgomery County, just outside Philadelphia.

Tina Hess, BS,CMC, NCG is the CEO of Good News Consulting, Inc. which is a training, consulting and care management company which specializes in dementia care. Tina serves as the Executive Director overseeing the management of the organization. Tina has been working in long-term care for over 24 years, having experience in activities, social services, admissions and marketing in skilled nursing, personal care, assisted living and a continuing care retirement community. She holds a bachelor’s degree from York College of Pennsylvania in Behavioral Science with a minor in Gerontology. She has taken graduate courses in social work, gerontology and management. She is a certified Care Manager and a National Certified Guardian.

Nicole Pruitt is the Program Director of the Inglis Adult Day Program in Philadelphia. Nicole has been with the Inglis organization for 10 years, the last 3 of which have been with the Inglis Day Program.

At Inglis, Nicole is responsible for the oversight of all operations of the Adult Day Program. Inglis Adult Day Program serves a young population of adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. Nicole has led the Inglis Adult Day Program through many physical and programmatic changes; including increasing census and establishing a recreational program that attracts consumers across many generations and with many different abilities.

Nicole is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, and a Multiple Sclerosis Certified Specialist. She obtained her AAS from Harcum College, and BS in Business Administration from Holy Family University.

Lori O’Brien has work in the adult day field for 20 years, first as a certified activity director, then as a site manager.  Prior to that, she was an assistant manager for Turtle Creek Valley MH/MR evening recreational program for mentally challenged adults.  She serves as a caregiver support group coordinator with the Alzheimer’s Association, on the PADSA board as a regional representative and has been active in Special Olympics as well as the Easter Seals youth program.

Kim Tompkins- Administrator/RN Bridges of the Rouse in Warren PA,I oversee all the operations  of the Adult Day Program, I am the RN on site.   I am originally from Williamsport PA and  worked at Geisinger Medical Center for 15 years as a Cardiac ICU nurse.  I moved to Warren PA in 2012, I started at the Rouse in 2012 as an RN Supervisor for 2 regular units, the Alzheimer’s Unit, and the Behavioral unit.   which I did for 2 years, I was then given the Administrator/Rn at Bridges of the Rouse Day Center.  I also facilitate an Alzheimer’s support group once a month at my facility.  I look forward to being on the PADSA board.
